Master planning and consultation for this 18-hole private club on Long Island, New York, designed in 1916 by Walter Travis. Initial consulting work focused on the construction of historically-inspired fairway bunkering and mounding between Holes #6 and 7 to help improve safety and strategy. Since then, we’ve focused on development of a complete restoration Master Plan, utilizing historic aerial imagery as well as extensive research into WJT’s design philosophy to inform the vision and character for the features to be restored.
The renovation, which is scheduled to begin in 2026, will see the reconstruction of all course bunkers, select tees, adjustments to fairway width and strategy, and revisions to Holes #5 and 12 to address safety, playability, and design character.
