Concerts on the Golf Course
Yes! This means actually closing a portion of your course to hold a concert! This is an idea we’ve seen successfully implemented at many courses all over the country. It can be an immediate revenue generator, and it’s absolutely great for getting non-golfers to the course (which is a must for golf facilities looking to get new players on the tee-sheet).
Providing access to the game is encouraged through leaving out putters and balls near the practice greens, setting up SNAG equipment for families and kids to play around with, and utilizing a driving net with attendant to give pointers and demo clubs, etc. Having an information table on lessons and the great game of golf is also a must.
Has your course(s) gotten creative with concerts on the course, or other similar ideas? If so, was it a success? If your course hasn’t gotten creative, what are the obstacles standing in your way?
