This is a special announcement to strictly our California contacts that Staples Golf will be presenting an educational session at the California Parks & Recreation Society (CPRS) Conference and Expo, which is taking place at the Long Beach Convention Center, March 13th - 16th.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and as golf architects, we spend our time designing, drawing, and animating, with the expected outcome of having a project come to fruition. Often times, getting a project off the ground is the hardest part, and visualizations are key to our success. There is truly nothing like putting pencil to paper, and this passion is what drives us in our profession.
There is a lot to be said for municipal golf courses that go above and beyond to engage their customers. Sadly, due to not knowing the true impact of a good customer engagement model, or even just ignoring the customer engagement tools already in place, very few municipal golf facilities are really engaging with their golf patrons.
In southern California, a group of like-minded municipal golf managers from various courses in close proximity, get together every few months to talk "strategy." This may seem odd because most would consider them competitors, but for the Municipal Golf Caucus, there is only upside.
